I’ve been thinking a lot about privilege and what it means in a diverse community. I had a chance to explore that recently in a sermon in the new congregation where I’ve been appointed. It’s an extremely diverse group of people with a passion for welcoming every person.

Every person. And it’s amazing to be a part of this.

And so I explored a story that we often look at through rose-colored glasses. It’s the story of Jacob marrying Rachel and it’s found in Genesis 29:15-30.
